First of all, sorry that we didn't post anything for ages! We had exams the last two weeks, but now we have Christmas holidays finally! 

A few weeks ago we went to the xx's concert. It was such an a.ma.zing concert!!! So impressive. It's hard to describe. You just had to be there to know how it was like. We still are in love with the three of them and, of course, their music. Here are some pictures of their fantastic performance.

Aaaand how I love to watch and walk through the fog. It's starting to get really cold outside, which is not necessarily a bad thing, because my birthday, Christmas and New Year are coming up!

This month we both have been to a few concerts and it isn't over yet because... tonight we are going to The XX! We are so exited! The support act is the Canadian electronic music band Austra.

Here is a short review of all the concerts we've been to:

Purity Ring

Last Wednesday we went to Purity Ring's concert in Brussels. It took place in a small room with a small stage, so we only were a meter away from them. The support act was Doldrums; their music is so great. Even more amazing was Purity Ring afterwards. The music, the decor, the way she moves on stage, the instruments,... everything! Afterwards we could have a little chat with Megan James (the singer) and really, she seems like such a nice person.

This week has been so amazingly surreal  I (Geraldine) now have got that kinda empty feeling. I don't know if you know what I mean, but whatever.

Concerts

This week is going to be so perfect! Tonight we are going to Purity Ring's concert. The support act is Doldrums. We look forward to dance on the dreamy music, to 'escape' and just to see these bands live. 

And Thursday ...  Ellie Goulding is going to play in Geraldine's living room!!! A radio station organized a competition to win this concert and guess what, Geraldine and her sister won it! How crazy/ amazing/ incredibly/ insane is that! We still can't believe it. She will give a private concert for only 20 people in Geraldine's living room!

Summer Update

I finally got my disposable photos, so here is a late summer update. You can see some pictures of Rock Werchter (were we saw Florence & The Machine! She's so amazing!), my trip to Berlin, the Dutch sea coast, Pukkelpop and Croatia. 

I miss summer so much! Still nine moths to go and we will have the longest summer vacation ever as we graduate from high school! We will have three moths of vacation (and are probably going to Glastonbury!!). I can't wait for it!

CocoRosie

Some time ago I have been to two concerts of CocoRosie, two rather mysterious and very interesting sisters... with awesome band members. You should read some interviews with them.

Aahhh how I love such wonderful live performances.
In November I am going to see Bon Iver, Purity Ring, Holy Other, Beach House and Grimes in concert. So please November, hurry up.

First Aid Kit

Last week I went to the Pias Nites in Tour and Taxis (Brussels). Main raison for me to go: First Aid Kit. It is a swedish folk duo and they are seriously amazing live. That is why I could not resist buying their cd! You should definitely check out these songs; perfect music to watch the world on a sunny winter day like this. Enjoy!
